Budget Bantams - Bradford City freeze season ticket prices at £149 for third season running

"Football is nothing without fans." Jock Stein.

... And Bradford City's owners - Edin Rahić & Stefan Rupp wholeheartedly agree with Jock, as they continue their pledge to make football affordable for all. The Yorkshire side have frozen the price of their 2017/18 adult season tickets at just £149, which it equates to £6.48 per game. Impressive, given Stuart McCall's men could still be promoted to the Championship via the play-offs and the average price of the season ticket in League One already stands at £262. Purchase a match-day programme and potentially attend a Championship game, whilst still having change from a tenner, 'That's ASDA price!'

Want to attend with your children? No problem. Junior season ticket prices have been slashed too. 11 - 16 Year old tickets just £99, whereas Under 11's are £5. A perfect way to encourage the next generation of supporters. Simply brilliant!

The ever increasing price of football has received intense scrutiny by both fans and those involved within the game. We have seen a whole host of protests and a variety of opinions on the matter - #WalkOutOn77 held at Anfield and Roy Keane's comments on the 'Prawn Sandwich Brigade'

Virgin Media's Twenty's Plenty scheme has capped the price of away tickets at £20 for top flight football, throughout April and May, the rest of the season away tickets are capped at £30. Although, little is being done to address the price of attending Football League matches, which makes Bradford's affordable season tickets even more admirable. So, hats off to Bradford City and their owners for leading by example to the footballing world and let's hope other clubs follow suit.

In the meantime, Que Sera, Sera.... Whatever will be, will be..... Bradford City *might* be going to Wembley!
